Vigan Fiesta

One of the most awaited occasion in Vigan City is the Vigan Fiesta. The Biguenos celebrate it every 25th day on the month of January.

There are lots of activities and programs before and during the exact date of fiesta like the parades, procession, Longganisa Festival, different competitions and many more. There is also the carnival where in you can ride on breathtaking rides like the Ferry's Wheel. In front of the Carnival is the Bargain area where you can buy or window shop on different stuffs, clothes, utensils, and gadgets. Even after the Vigan Fiesta is the Kannawidan Festival.

Vigan Fiesta is a good way to improve the unity of the Ilocanos because it is not just for the Biguenos only. Everyone has the right to join and celebrate the fiesta of Vigan City...

My Reflection

On the third grading period, we did nothing but to make our post and post and post and post... We had a lot of exercises like doing the HTML codes and the most challenging there is to memorize the different tags...I'm not good in memorizing but how I wish I will get a high score this grading period!:)

nEw yEaR, nEw ROWENA :) :) :D

Year 2010 is over and here comes the year 2011. Every other new year, I am creating my own New Year's resolution's list. In this list is where the things that I did last year I wanted to change. Of course, it is a new year so there must be a new me. I must change my negative attitudes and I must improve my self...

:::"Christmas in our Hearts":::

Its December…I can see trees decorated with different stuffs, lanterns with different sizes, colors and designs. At night, there are little twinkling lights everywhere… I can feel the cool breeze of the air as I play the song entitled “Christmas in our Hearts” by Jose Marie Chan.

Whenever I see girls and boys selling lanterns on the street
I remember the child in the manger as he sleeps
Whenever there are people giving gifts exchanging cards
I believe that Christmas is truly in there hearts
So let's light our Christmas trees for a bright tomorrow
Were nations are at peace, And all are one in God
[Chorus:]Let's sing Merry Christmas and a happy holiday
The season may we never forget the love we have for Jesus
Let him be the one to guide us as another new year starts
And may the spirit of Christmas be always in our hearts
In every prayer in every song
The community unites celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus Christ
Let love like that starlight on that first Christmas morn
Lead us back to the manger where Christ the child was born
So come let us rejoice
Come and sing the Christmas carol with one big joyful voice
Proclaim the name of the Lord
[Chorus:]Let's sing Merry Christmas and a happy holiday
The season may we never forget the love we have for Jesus
Let him be the one to guide us as another new year starts
And may the spirit of Christmas be always in our hearts
[Chorus:]Let's sing Merry Christmas and a happy holiday
The season may we never forget the love we have for Jesus
Let him be the one to guide us as another new year starts
And may the spirit of Christmas be always in our hearts

Yeah!! It is all about Christmas. This is my favorite Christmas song. Every lines of this song give the meaning and essence of Christmas. It is the birth of Jesus Christ. The time for giving and sharing. Forget about the word sadness and feel the happiness. Let’s forgive the sins of each other. Christmas means peace. Peace means love and love must exist everywhere, anytime…

..//Magandang Pagsasamahan Tungo sa Maunlad at Maayos na Lipunan//"

... Unity.. A simple word but has a deep meaning..Easy to say but its hard to do... It is needed to every country. No matter how big a country is if there is no oneness or unity, it will never be called a progressive one.

SEMBREAK--->> Halloween Experience<<---

Finally!!! The semestral break was over.Back to normal life in school...But wait! I cannot find to focus on my studies yet.I'm still missing the fun,hang-outs and my new friends that i met during the vacay...

I spent a lot of times with my friends I met during the campaign period for the SK Kagawad and Chairman this vacation.Fortunately, I won as the first SK kagawad in our barangay. I know I was very lucky not only because of winning that position but also for having my new friends, the newly elected chairman and my co-kagawads. I could not remember how we started to become close friends but we had a lot of fun together. When we had our first meeting, we decided to have a Halloween party/amazing race.in our barangay where the cemetery was located. It made us busy. We asked help to our barangay Chairman, barangay councils and to other people we know who can help us make the party successful. We prepared the party for a few days only. We recruited the barangay basketball court *tambays* to facilitate on the game amazing race.

November 1, 2010 at later than 8 PM, the game was started. There were 5 teams from different barangays with five members each. They have to finish all the challenges on the 7 stations to get the 7 flags in order to win. No matter how hard the challenges are, at least they had a great experience and cool awards! contact lenses for the champs, T-shirts for the second awardee, handkerchiefs (bench) for the third awardee and a token for those who did not made it. One of the highlights of the Halloween party was the live band and the two groups of dancers (LSV dancers, SV movers) who had a *freestyle* showdown. When the party was about to end, we had a picture taking. We went to the cemetery for a ghost hunting but we saw nothing hehe xd! It was past 1 or 2 am when the Halloween party was done. And that was a very cool experience in my life during the semestral break! I will never forget it...

.,:; My Teacher, My Hero;:,.

Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Juan Luna, Apolinario Mabini, etc....They are so popular knowing that they are our heroes who fought for our freedom. But for me, they are not the most popular heroes because we have our teachers...."My teachers are my heroes".
We cannot deny that teachers are almost a part of our lives. We are with them almost all of the time much more than our real parents.Of course, we consider our teachers as our second parents...."My teachers are my heroes".
We cannot deny that we students sometimes hate some of our teachers for the reason that "they always give us many home works and projects, they scold us, we feel bored when they are teaching, they are so strict".But we should remember that they are doing these for us to learn and change for a better us..."My teachers are my heroes".
We cannot deny that without teachers, there are no professionals. They sacrificed a lot. They treated us as their real children. That's why I love my teachers.Because my teachers are my heroes.
